Falmouth Festivals, organises, facilitates or co-ordinates the annual programme of activities on Events Square in Falmouth. The area in front of the National Maritime Museum Cornwall has hosted hundreds of events over the past 9 years, from Ellen McArthur's triumphant return from her recording breaking Round the World Voyage to the annual Falmouth Oyster Festival. Shanty Festivals, Falmouth Week Entertainment Marquee, BBC Antique Roadshow, Shelterbox's Big Charity Sleepover, Arts & Crafts Beach Hut markets to the Fal Fish Festivals are just some of the diverse events that attract large numbers of the public, both local and visitors.
In addition to the above events, Falmouth Festivals has played host to the 2008 Falmouth Tall Ships Regatta Entertainment on Events Square and will once more be the hub for the Falmouth – Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta Entertainment in August 2014.
A small team, with a strong supplier base, cater for a wide variety of events, ensuring a safe, well organised and appealing occasion, however big or small the festival. Shoreside festivities will include markets to browse, all the fun of the fair, as well as daytime and evening entertainment for all the family to enjoy whilst celebrating the spectacular sight of the world’s tall ships once more gracing the Port of Falmouth.
Traders: Activities and entertainment will be taking place throughout Falmouth over the four day regatta, however Falmouth Festivals Ltd will be managing three of the main sites which will include: The Docks, Events Square and Church Street Car Park (upper & Lower).
